Our child care community supports an attachment, natural parenting philosophy (babywearing, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, etc) as well as other similar philosophies & will be used with your children while in care. With older children we encourage positive social interactions, becoming positive role-models for the younger children, lots of physical activity, homework help, and encouraging them to use their imaginations & be creative versus screen-time (TV, I pads, I pods, Cell phones etc.)
We encourage families who have children that have been labeled “special needs” to inquire as well. We included anyone and everyone in our community and are happy to work with families who’s children might need different accommodations. Previously, we have worked through DSHS & CPS providing respite care for families.
We offer the following:

We offer the following:
- A dedicated teacher who is warm and nurturing & trained in early childhood development as well as raising 3 children of her own.
- We will provide breakfast, lunch and snacks- mostly organic & non-processed. (We can work with special diets).
- Wooden & more open-ended materials will be used to help foster creativity in children. Lots of art too!
- There will be no TV – but there will be a lot of interaction and play.
- An environment where most furniture is child-sized. Attractive learning materials are displayed on low shelves within easy reach for young children.
- Children will be outdoors as much as possible – giving them opportunities to garden, dig in the dirt, run & ride bikes.
- Cloth Diapering is supported. We use cloth diapers or cloth underwear for all children in care. No pull-ups.
- Both vaccination and non/delayed vaccination is supported.
- Gentle discipline will be supported & used (non-spanking & time-out methods etc.).
- As much as possible, we will attempt to meet the needs of your individual child alone and within the group.
